The Postman Always Rings Twice!

Call me stupid, old fashioned or romantic... But I still love to walk to my door and find a beautiful postcard on the floor. A little present -from you'll have to find out- that's waiting for you to open it. This package including a very nice notebook I received today. I'm gonna write some new stories in it. But the first thing I'm gonna do... Search for a nice card to send back!

Sleep Elevations by Maia Flore

Maia Flore ©

"Maia Flore is Born in 1988, France, graduated from l’Ecole
des
Gobelins, June 2010 and signed at Vu Agency. Search for
coincidences
between our world and our imagination is the
universe in which
Maia Flore like to set up her pictures.

One way to challenge the everyday reality by revealing a surprising."

Sleep elevations:
"These girls are carried away in the air by objects, let themselves travel
through boundless landscapes. Flying towards dreamed lands, making
real a complete attraction between the character, his ideal universe
and the world they live in: that is where these girls lead us. Their
contorted movements are merging with the shape of the one revealing
their passion. Mix of an imaginary realism and childhood memories,
these beings in levitation invite us to dream, limitlessly."

Inwards and Onwards

Anton Corbijn ©

Anton Corbijn - inwards and onwards
23 June - 1 September 2011, FOAM Amsterdam

Anton Corbijn's most recent photographic project. A few of his favourite
artists, including Gerhard Richter, Alexander McQueen, Richard Prince,
Iggy Pop, Anselm Kiefer, Damien Hirst, Tom Waits, Peter Doig, Bruce
Springsteen, Lucian Freud and Karel Appel.

To be seen from June 23 - 1 September 2011 at FOAM, Amsterdam.

"Anton Corbijn is interested in how artists struggle with the creative
process: the pain and the drama of the act of creation. His monumental
black-and-white portraits blend austerity and aesthetics and attract
attention because of the deliberate and exacting way they capture the
character of the person being portrayed. The work shows Corbijn's
concentrated gaze, his feeling for wonder and his ability to
empathise with another."
