Advanced Style by Ari Seth Cohen

"Advanced Style is Ari Seth Cohen’s blog-based ode to the confidence, beauty,
and fashion that can only be achieved through the experience of a life lived
glamorously. It is a collection of street fashion unlike any seen before—focused
on the over-60 set in the world’s most stylish locales. The (mostly) ladies of
Advanced Style are enjoying their later years with grace and panache,
marching to the beat of their own drummer.

These timeless images and words of wisdom provide fashion inspiration for
all ages and prove that age is nothing but a state of mind."

of Dutch fashion and fun.

Totems by Alain Delorme

All pictures above: © Alain Delorme.
Tekst by Raphaƫle Bertho, photography historian.

"The new Totems series by Alain Delorme plunges us into the core of
contemporary China and its complexity. Under the blue sky of a highly
colored Shanghai, men carry throughout the city unbelievable piles.
These precarious columns made of cardboard or chairs appear as new
totems of a society in complete transformation, both a factory for the
world and a new El Dorado of the market economy..."

My Life as a Duck

AR ©

They laugh at me and my life
My life as a duck
But I don't get worked up
It's my life as a duck

You may think this is funny
You may think I had bad luck
Or did you think that I was stuck
In my life as a duck?

For all my life
I've tried to hide the animal in me
Now it's time to open up
and breath, and breath

I don't know where I am going
Or from which place I have come
But as long as I am floating
The don't can be undone

You must be thinking "what is he on ?"
But things are looking up
I've started to believe in living
My life as a duck

For all my life
I've tried to hide the animal in me
Now it's time to open up
and breath, and breath

So listen
I know everything about you
Your father was a duck

I know everything about you
Your father was a duck
I know everything about you
Your father was a duck
I know everything about you
Your father

For all my life
I've tried to hide the animal in me
Now it's time to open up and breath.

Colourful Monster Island

The new York Times ©

Monster Island, a collection of do-it-yourself performance spaces and studios in
Williamsburg, Brooklyn, is shutting down this month because the landlord
wants to redevelop the property and has not renewed the lease. Its fans marked
its passing with a block party on Saturday.

The Postman Always Rings Twice!

Call me stupid, old fashioned or romantic... But I still love to walk to my door and find a beautiful postcard on the floor. A little present -from you'll have to find out- that's waiting for you to open it. This package including a very nice notebook I received today. I'm gonna write some new stories in it. But the first thing I'm gonna do... Search for a nice card to send back!
